This Privacy Policy describes how International Design LLC ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Glimpse mobile application ("the App") and our website glimpseai.jp ("the Website").
Camera and Microphone Data: Glimpse uses your camera and microphone only during a session that you start. While a session is running, your voice is streamed and still images from the camera are sent directly from your phone to Google Gemini, so it can see what you see and answer. With the iPhone camera an image is sent about every two seconds. With glasses, the glasses capture images throughout the session and one is sent at least every 15 seconds and whenever you start speaking. Nothing is recorded: no video or audio file is saved on your phone or on our servers, and the conversation text is kept only in the App while the session is open. Google may briefly hold session data so that a dropped connection can resume. You can turn video off in Settings to use Glimpse with audio only, and then no images are sent.
Saved Memories: When you ask Glimpse to "remember" something, the text you asked it to remember is saved on your phone and in your Glimpse account (Google Firebase), so it is not lost if you reinstall the App. At the start of each session your saved memories are sent to Google Gemini with your conversation, so the assistant can use them. Memories are text only. To delete your saved memories, contact us and we will remove them from your account.
Photos and Videos From Smart Glasses: If you use Glimpse with compatible smart glasses, you can import photos, videos, and audio notes that the glasses recorded. The transfer happens directly between your glasses and your phone over a local Wi-Fi connection that the glasses create. These files never pass through our servers and we never receive them. Imported photos and videos are saved into your own iOS photo library. Glimpse keeps only a small thumbnail and the file name on your device so it can show you a list of what was imported, and you can delete that list at any time inside the app. By default the copy on the glasses is deleted once the file is safely stored on your phone, which you can turn off in the app.
Photo Library Access: Glimpse requests permission to add photos and videos to your library. It does not request permission to read or browse your library, and it cannot see the photos that are already there.
Face Memory: If you ask Glimpse to remember a person, it stores a cropped image of that person's face together with the name you gave, on your phone only. Face images are never uploaded to our servers or synced to your account. So that Glimpse can recognize these people, up to eight saved faces and their names are sent to Google Gemini at the start of each session that uses the camera. You can delete all saved people and their images in Settings.
Location Data: If you grant permission, Glimpse uses your location to answer questions about where you are and to give you spoken directions. Your location is used at the moment you ask: it is sent to Apple's map services to find places and routes, and included in the request to Google Gemini. We do not store it.
People Other Than You: Cameras on a phone or on glasses can capture people nearby. Glimpse only names the people you have explicitly asked it to remember. Their photos are kept on your phone and are shared with Google Gemini only during your own sessions, so it can recognize them. You are responsible for following the laws and expectations that apply where you use the camera.
Contacts: If you grant permission, Glimpse looks up a contact on your phone to address a message or call that you asked for. Your contact list is not uploaded.
Account Information: To use the App you sign in with Apple. We receive your name and email address (Apple lets you hide your real email address) and store them in Google Firebase with your user ID and the dates you joined and last signed in.
Usage Data: The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase, which collects information about how the App is used, such as when it is opened, when sessions start, your device model, iOS version, App version, and an identifier for this installation. The Website uses Google Analytics to measure visits. We do not use the advertising identifier, and we do not use this data for advertising.
Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription information is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment details.
Glasses Orders: When you buy Glimpse Glasses on the Website, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address to process and deliver your order. We never see your full card number.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Saved memories are kept on your phone and in your account until you ask us to delete them or you delete your account. Face memory persists on your device until you delete it in Settings or uninstall the App. Media imported from smart glasses is saved to your photo library and stays there under your control, and the record Glimpse keeps of those imports lives on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Audio notes and any files your photo library cannot hold remain inside the App and are removed when you delete them or uninstall. Account data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. Usage data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings. Order information is kept as long as needed for delivery, returns, and our legal and tax obligations. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
Glimpse is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and Japan, where our third-party service providers operate. By using Glimpse, you consent to these transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
